A Sick Society

When people have to have guns to protect themselves from others who have guns, then the society is sick. When AK 47s are still legal when the majority of people feel they should be removed, then the society is sick, especially when the politicians who should protect us are bought by the NRA. When the upper 1% own 88% of the private wealth and the lower 40% own only 0.4% and when Trump gives 83% of the $1.5 trillion tax cut to the upper 1% and then threatens to cut $25 billion from Medicare sending 20% of seniors in to poverty, then it gets even sicker. And when so many Americans are deluded into believing that Trump cares for them and that the so-called liberal “elite” doesn’t, then the society is not only sick but uniformed. And when the so-called Christians celebrate Guns and God Appreciation day forgetting the basic tenets of Christianity, where are we heading? And what will it take to get us back on track? It will probably take a revolution like that proposed by the so-called “elite” who, despite Trump’s claim that they are the enemy, are really the only hope left. But will we vote for them or simply let us be deluded into an even sicker society?
